Suspense
I enjoy a well-crafted suspense story. My fear tolerance sits somewhere between suspenseful horror and full horror—not because I’m easily frightened, but because I understand how real some depictions can feel, and I prefer not to immerse myself in narratives that lean too far into that intensity. Still, I love a story that lands perfectly in the middle - just unsettling enough to keep me turning the page.
I, Medusa

I have always been a fan of Greek Mythology. It is the relationship between the god and men; the cruelty of the Olympians and how each Olympians story intertwines with the others that fascinates me.
This version of Medusa's story was captivating in that one, Medusa is presented as a black woman having to navigate parental relationship woes, and a longing for a life outside of the box she has been placed in. her beauty and intelligence opens the door to the life she desires, but she pays the most extreme cost for it. The story is emotional and a realistic perspective of some stories. The ending stuck with me in a real way.
Moth to A Flame

This was one of those stories that captivates you from the beginning. If you are a fan of crime drama with a love story in them mix, you might like this one. I'll warn you though, it is not one of those stories that promises the ending you expect. If you want an emotional rollercoaster, this will give you that.
The Housemaid

I actually found this book after following someone on TikTok. She spoke of how good and twisty the book was, and she did not lie. It has the twists, turns, teh and the ability to invoke a bit of rage. I liked it so much that I read the second one!
Ethic Volumes 1-6

Addictive! This set is the set that follows the Moth to A Flame book. It is harrowing, emotional, sad, angering, and at times very confusing. It is the epitome of a rollercoaster ride for your emotions. Strap in for these.
The Housemaid's Secret

A sequel to the House Maid and a good read. The shenanigans continue with our main character who has seemingly become a sort of vigilante.
